We had a Pyla Naidoo reunion this past weekend, and we really missed having you and Neela with us. Your passing leaves a dreadful void for us. Until we meet again. From Johnny and Radha, and our family.

Dearest brother in law
Your passing has been a difficult time for all of us to accept. We sit and reminisce about our good old times, our many wonderful years of family gatherings and holidays, our many many card games, and our inspiring talks and debates.
Radha and I often fondly talk about our beautiful visit to you and the family two years ago. That was such a highlight of our life. You were ill yet never allowed this to get the better of you.
Radha, myself and our children miss you very very much. 
Until we meet again, my bru.

I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of this Sweet and genuine gentleman. I worked at his family doctors office for 5 years and everyday he and his beautiful wife Neela came in to the clinic,  I immediately felt a sense of peace from both of them. I Named them my work parents. . I tried to help the in every way I could.. I would always try and go that extra mile for them. Even as Ram's health worsened,  his smile never left his face.  When I moved away,  I made sure to hug Ram and Neela very tightly and told them,  they will always be remembered.. I had the honour of getting to know a few of their children and grandchildren. 
I pray for strength for this beautiful family in the difficult time and hope that you find peace in the fact that Ram loved everyone he came into contact with. And I for one, am Honoured to have been even just a small part of his life. Rest In Sweet Peace Ram. I Love you And Neela,  I Love you and you are one of the strongest women I have ever met.

It is with the heaviest of hearts that I send this message to my dearest family. . to bid farewell to our brother Ram

Words could never do justice to the pain we feel but at the same time, the relief that Ram is no more in pain and no longer suffering. 

I speak on behalf of Jagan and our sister Baby. We started of as 10 and we are down to 3, this is a reality and it’s a reality that we accept because life is not eternal. We are just so glad that we managed to maintain our bond- distance could never separate us. 
Our daily calls and the frequent holidays kept us going. 

To Neela, the rock that kept the family together in Edmonton, what can I say to you .. 
You have been amazing in keeping Ram comfortable throughout the past 59 years, more especially in the last few years. You, yourself who does not enjoy the best of health, did this with no complaints and Ram really appreciated this because he did mention this in our conversations. You supported him in every endeavor of his and you did this with such ease, we thank you for this and promise to be here for you ALWAYS. We are just a call away. We pray for your peace and well being on this trying time. 

Nalina, Vevesh, Maglan and Preena, you have and will always be our brothers pride and joy. He always spoke ever so proudly and fondly of the 4 of you. We feel the pain but we find solace knowing that he is at peace. We thank you for being by his side every minute of every day and taking the best care of him. He was truly fortunate. 

His 4 grandchildren were his everything, he loved you’ll so much and was so happy when he spoke of you’ll. He was the proudest grandpa. When he became a great grandpa 3 months ago, that genuinely was his ultimate acquisition. We know that Maglan and Nick will ensure that Weston knows all about his great grandpa even in his absence. 

Mahen and Michelle, our thoughts are with you as well.

 Our heartfelt condolences goes out to you during this sad and difficult time. It also saddens us that we have lost three beautiful souls in the last five months. For those of you that may not know, that is Morris, brother to Neela and Dhano, sister in law to Neela, and now, our dearest Ram Uncle. We take comfort in the fact that we now know that Ram Uncle is resting after his illness. We are honored, thankful and grateful for the time spent making fond memories that will be cherished forever. May these wonderful memories of Ram Uncle bring you courage and strength during these sad times. Ram Uncle, you will surely be missed. Dearest family and friends. It is with the greatest sadness that we convey this message as we bid farewell to an incredible man...Ram ..who meant so much to all of us
Losing a loved one is truly one of the most difficult things one has to go through and we know what a traumatic time this is for the family. 
Ram was a hard working, kind, strong, gentle, compassionate man who lived his life fully, energetically and with great enthusiasm. He had a warm loving energy that immediately endeared him to everyone he made contact with. 
There are so many ways to describe Ram but the one word that immediately comes to mind is the word “gracious “
What a gracious man he was...always affording others his time, his respect, his warm, encompassing smile , a sympathetic ear, a big hug...This was part of his charm and charisma 
This was his gift... he was a people’s person , he loved people..he made people feel special, and people in turn were automatically drawn to him. He always saw the best in people and chose to concentrate on those qualities. 
In his interactions with others, he chose to be kind rather than to be right.

He touched so many lives in one way or another. 
Ram taught us by example,  in the way he led his life and took on its many challenges...fearlessly and with great strength and optimism.
They say the true mark/character of a human being is clear in the way he reacts during times of adversity...difficult times!
And Ram faced many challenges in his life particularly in the last few years during his battle with ill health. It was a relentless, ferocious battle but he took it on bravely with guts, courage, determination, fierceness and his usual optimism ...still finding it within himself even in the midst of intense pain and suffering, to greet everyone around him (even the hospital staff) , treat them to a smile and enquire about their well being. No matter how difficult the battle 


Our dear Brother-in-law Ram. Your time has come too quickly. Your strength and love for life and your love for all of your family has always been greatly admired. Radha and I will miss you and our weekly chats. I personally will miss you, your stamina and your Racing requests. We have shared so much together: From the days of 206 to Tunstan Walk; from our weekly families nights out at the Sunset Drive-in to our annual holidays to Midmar Dam. We particularly value our visit to you last year when, despite being so unwell, you, Neela and the children went out of your way to give us an amazing holiday. We really treasured your love and support. We pray that your soul will go well and reach Nirvana with much blessings. 
To Neela, Nalina, Vevesh, Maglan, Preena, Mahen, and the grandchildren, may you find strength during this trying time. We love you all. From Radha, Johnny and the family in Durban and Johannesburg.
