It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Robert LeBlanc at the age of 59.
Robert leaves behind his two beautiful daughters; Jenna and Karmen. He is also survived by his mother; Mary, his sisters; Jane (Rodney)Smith , Catherine (Dean) Reiter, and sister-in-law Linda LeBlanc. Nieces; Dawn, Christa, Brooklyn, Stephanie and nephew Michael.
He is predeceased by his father Jerry and his brother Stephen.
Robert was born in North Bay, Ontario, 3rd child of Jerry and Mary LeBlanc. Being from a military family he lived in many places. He graduated from grade 12 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, from there he joined PPCLI and his army life began.
Robert was posted in Victoria, B.C., Germany, a peace keeping tour in Bosnia, posted in Fort Saskatchewan and finally Edmonton. After retirement he worked as a civilian at CFB Edmonton.
Jenna joined the military in 2019 to follow in her father’s footsteps. Robert (aka ‘Slam’) had many friends within the army and with whom he served with. With his amazing smile and great laugh he always had a story or a silly joke. Robert was not only an outstanding man but an amazing father. He loved his girls more than anything.
May peace be with you now and all your pain and sorrow laid to rest. May you always lay within our hearts and carried onwards in our souls ❤️we love you so much dad, brother, son.
Memorial Service will be held April 1st, 2023 1:00pm at the Kingsway Legion (Royal Canadian Legion Br, 175) 14339 50st NW Edmonton, AB.
