Sonia was a dedicated mother and friend, whose beautiful smile could light the darkest of rooms. Sonia loved her daughter Kelly more than life itself, and the two of them were the best of friends.
Sonia was put through a very fast battle with pancreatic cancer, and she faced it with the strength and grace that she has always held.
Sonia was a joy to be around, and loved to go grab a diet coke at McDonald's or watch dancing with the Stars with her best friends. Sonia always loved a good chat, catching up with friends, and spending her time with loved ones.
Sonia loved her animals with a passion, and will be surrounded by the fur babies she has had to say goodbye to throughout the years, and her daughter takes comfort in knowing that thought.
Sonia's star shone incredibly bright, she was the beacon of hope and love in her daughter's life, and blessed all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Sonia was the definition of love, loyalty, and grace and she lived every day to its fullest. People like Sonia are few are far between, with a huge heart and a giving spirit, she was a different and special breed.
Sonia did anything for anyone, and nothing for herself, such was her giving and nurturing spirit, up until the very end.
Sonia was the provider and caregiver, she always wanted to lend a helping hand, and she fiercely protected her loved ones to the very end.
Sonia is survived by her daughter, Kelly; her son-in-law, Daniel; her "adopted" son, Danny; her elder sister, Edna, and beloved cousins, Holly, Allen (Sandy) and Orest (Reggie).
In light of COVID and its restrictions, at a later date Sonia will be taken home to Oakburn, Manitoba to rest peacefully with her parents, Anne and Peter Kukurudz. A memorial service will be held at this time, when her beloved friends and family can be present in droves.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Sonia's funeral fund by contacting [email protected]. Any funds will be put towards her return back to Manitoba and her future memorial service.
