Sylvia Mary Evelene Stocks

May 28, 1927 – April 17, 2011

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sylvia Mary Evelene Stocks on April 17, 2011 at the age of 83 years.

She will forever be remembered by her devoted husband of 61 years, Gordon, her loving children Paul (Debbie) Stocks, Denise (Archie) Doonanco and Diane (Doug) Atkinson, Sylvia’s pride and joy, her five grandchildren: Chris (Marie) Stocks, Darren Stocks, Lisa Marie (Aaron) Thompson, and Sean and Eric Atkinson, her three great grandchildren, Mya, Thai and Hannah, her two brothers, Don (Doreen) Kayley and Ernie (Sylvia) Kayley, as well as numerous nieces, nephews relatives and dear friends. Sylvia was predeceased by her brother Norman Kayley and grandson Lee Atkinson.

Sylvia had a true love for life, which included spending time with her family and friends, golfing, gardening and making people smile! The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Kensington Shepherd’s Care, who cared so much for Sylvia during her time spent there.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service celebrating Sylvia’s life at Memories Funeral Home, 13403-St. Albert Trail, on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Stollery Children’s Hospital, 1502-College Plaza, 8215-112 Street, Edmonton, Alberta, T6G-2C8.
