With heavy hearts, we share the sudden passing of Tania Wendy Shu. Born in Sri Lanka on the 25th of October 1970, she immigrated to Canada in 2008 with her family, driven by the desire to provide a better life for her son, Trevin.
Tania was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister, cherishing her family above all else. She shared 30 years of joyous marriage with her husband, Thomas You Fong Shu. Tania's love knew no bounds, and she took pride in nurturing her son, leaving heartwarming memories with her culinary skills. Apart from her family roles, Tania had a passion for gardening, travel, home decorating, and thrifting, which reflected her warm-hearted and adventurous nature, endearing her to everyone she met. She shared a close bond with her sister and soulmate, Eloise Chrisenta (Teena) Enas, as well as her mother, Maureen Enas, and her father, Edgar Enas. Tania also leaves behind cherished memories with her mother-in-law, Martha Shu, her brothers-in-law, Daniel, Gerard, Jeremy, Monty, and Kenny, sisters-in-law, Ann, Krishanthy, Christine Meyer, and Christine Stephen, and her nieces & nephews, Ashley Stephen, Talisa (Tilly), Ashley Shu, Tasha, Dilan, Kiran, Tahlia, Tenaya, Jhvon, and Laura.
Tania's legacy of love, dedication, and compassion will forever be etched in the hearts of all who knew her.
A service to honour her life will be held at Hainstock's Funeral Home & Crematorium at 10 AM (Mountain Standard Time) on Saturday, August 5th, 2023, followed by her burial at South Haven Municipal Cemetery. We invite all whose lives she touched to join in bidding farewell to Tania.
Rest in peace, Tania. Your light will forever shine in our hearts.
