Oh Honey I miss you so much. Your love still burns deep in my heart. I loved you so much.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

The memorial service was a wonderful tribute to Valerie.  Her smile and her help with my computer when we both worked for DND is what I most remember about her.  I was glad to have seen her at the 435 Sqn service at the Memorial Park a year and a half ago.  My heart goes out to you Chuck and Shaun, Val's Mom and all the family.  Linda Glover

Dear Chuck, Sean and Gwen...My most heartfelt sympathy to you and Val's sisters.  Val and I worked together for many years at the Base and we shared all our joys and sorrows. We continued to meet for lunch often when we both left DND for other departments.  We both were thrilled to be grandmothers.  Sean she was extremely proud of you and absolutely adored Gwen.  Chuck, she loved you very deeply.  Valerie was a very compassionate, understanding and loving person.   I am very sorry that I was unable to attend her service today but she has been in my praryers.  Valerie was a wonderful woman and I was honoured to be her friend.  We will miss her so very,very much.

Chuck and family, I am very sorry for your loss.  I can only hope that you can find some solace in the amazing stories that have been shared from friends and family about how Valerie has touched their lives. 

I had the priviledge of being able to work along side Valerie during my time with the National Parole Board as a computer technician/system administrator.  

We had a sub office located in a shared space at the facility in Edmonton which Valerie managed the computer services for. I had to visit this office on a regular basis and my visits usually involved assistance from or at the very least a visit with Valerie.

Valerie was always extremely kind and always willing to help.  You could see and feel the respect everyone had for Valerie.

She will be greatly missed by all.

I have so many memories of Val, Chuck and Shaun running around in my head.  Gwyn lost a wonderful grandma, Shaun and wonderful mother, Chuck a wonderful wife, but the world lost a wonderful woman. I am truely sorry for your loss.  Val was really a special person.  We first met in the early 80's and shared an office and bosses together for over 10 years.  Truely she was like the sister I never had.  In all those years I can never recall a display of anger .  Val was always there to help everyone in so many ways.
