Victor Sims

Victor was born in Mellweg, Austria on July 20, 1928 . He immigrated to Canada in 1952 to work on his Uncle's farm in Vega. Together with ambition and hard work, he helped to develop one of the first non-municipal public golf courses in Edmonton. He was proud of his Austrian heritage and loved sharing the beauty and culture with his children and grandchildren.

Victor is lovingly remembered by his son, Edward (Mary-Lou), daughter, Deanne, grandchildren, Brian, Ryan (Allegra), Carmen, Ashley and Alexis. He is also remembered by many family and friends both in Canada and Austria.

He was predeceased by his grandson, Victor and four brothers.

A Service of Remembrance will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Memories Funeral Home, 13403 St Albert Trail, Edmonton AB T5L 4X1.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Victor's memory to either the Kidney Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Canada.
