

Victoria was born on August 19th, 1928 in the Hamton district of Saskatchewan. The daughter of Mike and Nellie (nee Wowk) Boychuk, she lived on the family farm in with her brothers Bill (Verna) Boychuk, John (Yvonne) Boychuk, Metro (Evelyn) Boychuk and Lawrence (Shirley) Boychuk, and her sisters Mary (Mike) Klewchuk, Emily (Ernest) Dutchak & Sally (Alec) Rusnak.
Victoria married Metro Wlasichuk on October 26, 1947. They moved to Coronation, Alberta to farm for their first years together, then settled in Edmonton, Alberta where together, they ran Speedy’s Insulation as a successful family business and raised nine children in the same house.
Some of Victoria’s favourite pastimes were gardening; going for walks; cooking, especially Ukrainian foods; baking, especially gingersnaps; and spending time with family and her many grandchildren.
Victoria was predeceased by her husband Metro, their eldest son Dennis and his wife Sandy Wlasichuk. Victoria will be missed and the memory of her love and her spirit will always be cherished by her children Jeanette (Darryl) Gullberg, Dale (Linda) Wlasichuk, Ken (Suzanne) Wlasichuk , Debbie (Martin) Langeste, Bradley (Laurie) Wlasichuk, Bobby (Tracy) Wlasichuk, Richard (Jan) Wlasichuk, Darlene Altobelli (nee Wlasichuk), and the numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who knew her as Baba.
To honour Victoria, the family will hold a small, private funeral service. Victoria will be interred at Beechmount Cemetery.
