It is with deep sorrow that the family of Tim Tirven (Vijay S. Tirvengadum) announces his sudden and unexpected passing on December 23rd, 2025, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, after a brief illness with a deadly strain of influenza. He leaves behind his wife Vina, his son Daren, his nephew (whom he considered his son) Jean-Luc Bachelot, and his grandson Dominic (Jean-Luc’s son). He also leaves behind two brothers, Sir Harry in Mauritius, Dev (Gobalen) in Paris, his sisters and brothers-in-law in Mauritius, the UK, and Canada, and his many cousins, nephews and nieces across the world.
Tim’s family celebrated his life privately on Friday, January 9th, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in an event which was streamed live for distant friends and relatives.
