Yvette will be lovingly remembered by her son Malcolm Watt(Kate) and her daughter Donna Check (Dan) , along with her cherished grandchildren Paul Check, Steven (Lindsay) Check, Jeff Watt and Nicole Wiebe (Colin) and much loved great grandchildren Audrey and Theodore Wiebe and Damian and Sophia Check.
Yvette was the youngest of 10 siblings all now deceased. Yvette was born in Manitoba and moved to Alberta with her family at a young age. She later settled in Grande Prairie where she met the love of her life Hugh John Watt.
They settled in Edmonton where they raised their family and she was a valued employee at Gold Bar Drugs. Yvette embraced her children and their partners and enjoyed special times with her grand and great grand children.
Yvette’s fondest memories were those times spent with family and friends at the cabin at Alberta Beach and Ross Haven. She loved to laugh and was a kind, welcoming, grateful soul who made everyone smile and feel special.
Thank you to all the staff at Churchill Manor and Rosedale Estates and the staff at the Grey Nuns and University Hospital who provided great care and comfort.
A family memorial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
