Allen Jacob Karna

Allen (Al to his friends and family) was born on November 16, 1973, to Robert and Judy Karna in Bismarck ND. After graduating from Bismarck High School in 1992, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Electronics Technician.

After his military service Al went on to be a simulator technician at Marine Corps Air Base (MCAS) Mira Mar where he worked for almost 14 years. After his time spent at MCAS Mira Mar he then joined the Department of the Navy as a Logistician for H-60 Helicopter Simulators at Naval Air Station North Island.

In late 2005 he met Veronica, and they wed in September 2007 going on to have many adventures together even if that adventure was in their backyard.

Al was an adrenalin fanatic, looking to do whatever he could to get that rush. His favorite was going to Glamis in his Sand Rail. He loved to work on anything that had an engine and to tinker on little projects. When he was not tinkering in the garage, he could be found hanging out in his pool watching planes land at Gillespie Field relaxing or loving and playing with his dogs.

Al was known for his fun nature and warm heart; he never met a stranger and made many friends in his life.

The memorial service will be held on August 26, 2023 at El Cajon Mortuary located at 684 S. Mollison El Cajon CA 92020. Services will be 2:30 – 4:00pm.
