Allison Ann Adams, born April 20, 1980, gave up her fight with stupid cancer on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at the age of 36. She was born and lived her entire life in San Diego. She attended schools in Rancho Peñasquitos, college in Fullerton and received her Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Cal State University San Marcos in 2003.
Allison loved her hometown and all it had to offer, especially rooting on her San Diego Padres at regular games with her father. She was particularly close to her mother, who was her greatest advocate and champion. She had a great sense of fun and enjoyed going out with her friends and her sister, who became her best friend and confidant in their adult years.
Everyone who met Allison was struck by her distinctive sense of humor and her razor sharp wit. She loved pop culture, television, movies, books and music and always had entertaining insights to share on any number of topics. She loved to laugh and to sing and to drive around aimlessly while talking to friends.
She is survived by her loving parents, Nancy and Bill, her sister Aimee Buchanan, brother in law Buck and niece Alycia. She also leaves behind loving friends and family, including her aunts, Marjorie Simpson, Emily Andrade and Susan Kaiser, along with their families. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Bruce and Louise Nemecheck, Russel and Corinne Adams, her uncles, Donald G. Adams and Glenn Simpson, and her dogs, Beefy, Gimlet and Sophie.
Tributes and donations in honor of Allison can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
