Annie, you are in so many of my memories from childhood and every single one of them involved laughter. I remember you as a friend of my mom and aunt who was larger than life. Your presence felt like magic wrapped in lightning and covered in joy whenever you would visit. I know now that sometimes smiles cover pain, and  I will always remember you with fondness for teaching me that its ok to laugh through the tears. Thank you for being a strong wild woman before it was popular. I hope the rest of your journey in the universe is peaceful, and healing, and filled with all that wonderful wild laughter I remember

I will always remember you as my moms best friend from New York...and I thought you were a witch, but a good one. Rest in peace Annie!
