Anna and John were blessed with four sons, John Jr. age 50, Joshua age 48, Jacob age 43 and Jarrod age 39.
As a mother, she felt there was nothing she could love more than her sons.

The next generation blessed her with three Great Granddaughter's Ava, Jaslyene and Jazelle.
As matriarch of the Duke family, she oversaw every gathering with a loving hand.
Anna spent her younger years raising her family until her youngest son reached high school.
After raising her boys, she started working with students in the newly formed after school program at Palmer Way Elementary.
She followed that as a team member at the YMCA. After she left the YMCA Anna started work with special education students at El Toyon Elementary and Central Elementary school.
A lifelong National City resident, Anna worked for the National School District for 16 years.
Anna loved family, and was also a mother figure to many of her nieces and nephews.
