She was born on November 10, 1923 in Burnham, Illinois where she was likewise raised and educated. Shortly after graduating high school she married John Rusnak and was his wife for over 62 years living in the Chicago area until his death in 2003. She moved to El Cajon shortly thereafter and was living with her daughter, Wendy Rusnak, ever since.
She was a homemaker her whole adult life. Family and friends knew her as a benevolent and doting person who saw only good in everyone she met. While she was kindhearted to all, her real compassion was her family. She was a stern yet gentle and caring matriarch who devoted her life to family and family issues, touting successes and mitigating failures with the love and understanding only she could give.
She is survived by her sister, Marge Koval, her children, Terrance Rusnak, Bryant Rusnak and Wendy, her daughters-in-law, Marlene Rusnak and Carole Rusnak, her grandchildren, Terrance Rusnak, Jr., Scott Rusnak, Nicole Browning and husband Greg Browning, and her great grandchildren, Jackson Browning and Caroline Browning.
