Born in Missouri, but since 1957 grew up in California, primarily in Los Gatos. He served on the USS Camp (DER-251) during coastal interdiction patrols in Vietnam 1966-1968. He graduated from San Jose State College and then University of California Riverside with a Ph.D. in experimental psychology, followed by a neuropsychology fellowship at UCSD in the Psychiatry dept. He then became a research psychologist at a Navy R&D Laboratory on Point Loma developing the technology for computerized ability testing, computer based training, and video tele training. He was motivated by the experience of discovery in designing and conducting experiments and developing technologies. He enjoyed retirement with his loving wife Janette Faust by traveling, hiking in national parks, and photographing life. He is survived by his two brothers, David & Duncan.
