Clara Lou Dingman passed away Sunday, March 15, 2020 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Mark Middledorf, with her husband Gene and family at her side. The daughter of Lowell and Grace (McDonald) Brown, Clara Lou was born October 5, 1940 in Perry, MI and they moved to Carsonville, MI shortly thereafter. She spoke often of her childhood and growing-up years with her “Mother and Daddy” on the Carsonville farm and the friends and relatives nearby. Clara Lou made her choice to serve the Lord in 1952. She was united in marriage to Gene Dingman in 1959. Clara Lou was a mother, grandmother and friend to many. Her love and devotion to the Lord manifested itself in her care and concern for others. In addition to cooking, baking, and the many hobbies and projects she enjoyed, one of her favorite activities was having an open home for the ministers and friends with gatherings for fellowship and friendship.
Clara Lou is survived by her husband and seven children: Lowell Dingman of Long Beach, CA; Randy (Dawn) Dingman of Howell, MI; Carla (Mark) Middledorf of Santee, CA; Adele Reuter of Imperial Beach, CA; Mel (Savannah) Dingman of Bay City, MI; Brendan (Lynnette) Dingman of Springfield, VA; Donald (Amber) Dingman of Midland, MI; twenty-six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Clara Lou was preceded in death by her parents and her step-mother Nonia Brown.
In light of the current health pandemic and according to current government guidelines, it is not possible to hold any funeral related services at this time.
