Daniel is survived by his wife, Sally Gouveia; his daughter Lynn Hughes and husband James of Santee, California; his son Steven Gouveia of San Diego, California; and his son Gary Gouveia and wife Gianna of Wellington, FL. Daniel is also survived by five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Daniel was preceded in death by his sisters Lorraine Costa, Dolores Ketchie and Evelyn Rapoza.
Daniel was a Korean War veteran, as well as a wholesale driver for Carnation Dairy in San Diego County for over 30 years following his years working in the aerospace industry. He was a loving, gentle, religious and caring man whose life revolved around the love for his family. He was a craftsman who enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and outdoor activities.
