Dianne was born on August 25, 1952, in Oil City, Pennsylvania, to James Jude and Jean Ann Strickenberger. She was raised in Erie, Pennsylvania, and graduated from St. Benedict Academy. Early in her career, she worked as an office administrator before dedicating several years to raising her two children. She also catered events at Mt. Carmel in Erie, where she perfected her exceptional cooking and hospitality.
In 1984, Dianne returned to the workforce with American General Life & Accident Insurance Company, where she became a valued member of the Erie office. It was there she met her future husband, Stephen “Steve” Beblo. The couple relocated to San Diego, California, in 1986, where they married and later founded DSR Insurance Solutions, serving health and life insurance clients throughout the region. Dianne was recognized for her professionalism, industry knowledge, and dedication to customer service.
Dianne will be remembered for her strength, warmth, and creativity. She took great pride in maintaining a welcoming home, enjoyed baking and decorating, and cherished time spent with family and friends. A devoted fan of Pittsburgh sports, she regularly hosted gatherings to watch the Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins with her husband. She also enjoyed traveling, golfing, and spending time outdoors, especially in Nassau, Bahamas, her favorite destination. At home, she loved playing Phase 10 with loved ones, reading Danielle Steele novels, and was known for her unwavering support of those around her.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Stephen “Steve” Beblo; her children, Michelle “Shelly” Wheelington and Brian George; her grandchildren, Sean Wheelington, Taylor Wheelington, and Braydon George; and her siblings, Thomas “Tuck” Strickenberger, James “Randy” Strickenberger, and Nancy Ericsson, along with their spouses and ten nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at 10:00 am, at Santa Sophia Catholic Church in Spring Valley, California, 9800 San Juan Street, Spring Valley, CA 91977, followed by a Celebration of Life at Steele Canyon Golf Course, 3199 Stonefield Drive, Jamul, CA 91935.
