Born in San Diego CA, in 1932 to parents Mathilda Marron and Ramiro Alvarado. As a small child Eliezer moved with his parents and two sisters to La Mission, Baja California where he was raised. There, he grew up living a ranch lifestyle. To be surrounded by family, friends and neighbors is what he loved as a youth and carried that love throughout his life.
As he grew into a young man so did his interests and to his love of riding his Triumph with his motorcycle crew, Los Angeles del Camino in Tijuana, MX.
He married his life partner Isabel Miranda in 1954. They went on to have 4 children, Rosalinda, Mireya, Eliezer and Jaime. In the early 1960’s, he moved his young family to San Diego where he began his life-long career as a painter.
Retirement came with a house on the beach in his hometown of La Mission, MX where he and Isabel lived a leisurely life. There, he continued to host family and friends and filled their days with endless parties and gatherings full of food and live music. He loved cooking for crowds, playing guitar and singing with mariachi. Eliezer grew a reputation of the ever-gracious host. This reputation would be with him throughout his life as he enjoyed his loved ones to the fullest.
Eliezer returned to San Diego to finally reside closer to family. Again, making the best of every family gathering and holiday. Taking much pride in his turkeys at Thanksgiving and homemade tamales at Christmas.
Eliezer’s family continued to grow with seven grandchildren (Mireya, Saul, Andrew, Aarron, Lucas, Noah & Mina) and 4 great-grandchildren (Vienna, Mia, Alyssa & Salma)
His legacy will remain strong and continue with his loving family as they mourn his departure and rejoice in his memory.
“Tata Cheto” … loving husband, father and grandfather.
