Born November 7, 1928 an Alamogordo, New Mexico , she was the daughter of the late William Lee Choate and Cynthia Homa Dolloff. Esther was a loving wife, mother, grandmother who loved to tell everyone she met about God's love. Her mission here on earth was to make sure everyone had their "ticket" to get to heaven.
Esther is survived by her husband of 71 years, Leon Truman Johnson, three sons; James Lee Johnson and his wife Marina, Robert Leon Johnson and his wife Janice, Stephen Dana Johnson and his wife Theresa, 16 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 9 great - great grandchildren.
Services for Esther are scheduled for November 8, 2016, A viewing and visitation from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. at the El Cajon Mortuary, 684 S. Mollison Ave., El Cajon, CA, Funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at the mortuary followed by a committal service at Miramar National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
