Gina Marie Curo

Gina Marie Curo, 57, of Barona, California, passed away on May 22, 2025. She was born August 25, 1967, in La Mesa, California to her parents Joseph “Buddy” Curo and Lupe Joan Curo. She was a woman of kind-heartedness, grace, and generosity.

Gina was a devoted mother to Nichole (Eric), Rachel, Natalie (Charles), and Michael (Samantha), and a proud grandmother to 12 beloved grandchildren; Mikella, Calli, Gina Jean, Brylee, Aiden, Rylan, Shayla, Cadence, Brayden, Adaline, Tate and Presley. She is also survived by her siblings, Debra Curo-Kent, Anita Curo, Leona “Penny” Vicaldo and Bobby Curo. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph “Buddy” Curo of the Barona Indian Reservation, her mother, Lupe Joan Curo of Jamul Indian Village, and her siblings Linda Curo, Joseph “JoJo” Curo, Daniel Curo, Bruce Curo, and Anne Marie Curo.

Gina will be remembered for her compassion toward others, her profound and abiding love for her family, and her unwavering faith in the Lord. She touched the lives of everyone around her with an open heart and a warm smile. Her loving spirit, gentle strength, and selfless nature will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 7th, at 10 a.m. at the Barona Mission
