Jackalyn Ann Munoz

Jackalyn A. Munoz, 74, of El Cajon, CA. passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on January 2, 2026, at Grossmont hospital. A funeral service will take place at El Cajon Mortuary on January 15, 2026, from 4 pm to 8 pm and a Celebration of Life at the Munoz residence at 1776 E. Madison Ave., El Cajon, CA. 92019 on January 16, 2026, at 2 pm. Born in San Diego, CA, on April 21, 1951. She spent 43 years as a respected child nutrition lead and was known for her hard work and kindness. Jackalyn loved painting ceramics, cherishing time with friends and family. She won a prestigious award for painting ceramics called the Freddy Award in Hobby Ceramics. Jackalyn is survived by her husband, Michael Munoz, her children, Paul Munoz, David Munoz (Christine), Shawnell Armendariz (Luis), Sister Henrietta Riley (Ron), Niece Jennifer Hunter, and her 3 grandchildren, Rachel Munoz, Grace Kargenian, Charlotte Armendariz. Jackalyn will be remembered for her compassion, unwavering integrity, beauty, and her love for her family. Her laughter and wisdom were gifts to everyone who knew her.
