

He was born on December 20, 1960 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Ethel Naomi Bell and David Allen.
He attended Widener University where he met his future wife Ida Perez. While attending Widener he studied history and was the President of the Black Student Union.
After college, he enlisted in the United States Marines Corps. He was stationed in Japan, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and finally San Diego, CA. After he was honorably discharged as a Sergeant, he worked for the County of San Diego as an investigator in their welfare fraud division. He eventually retired and his main focus was his family.
Ken was a man with a big personality, a real lover of life and a true renaissance man. He loved cooking, chess, comics, poetry, music, art and sports. But, his greatest love was his family.
He is survived by his wife Ida Bell (Perez) of El Cajon, CA, their children Chantè Crowley of Chula Vista, CA and Dominique Bell of El Cajon, CA, his son-in laws Jeremy Crowley and Gabriel Rodriguez, his grandchildren Kenneth L’Taj Crowley, Jaida Lynn Crowley, Marcus Tyrone Lapointe and Olivia-Marie Gabriela Rodriguez. His sister Deborah Bell of Spring Valley, CA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws that loved him greatly. He is preceded in death by his mother Ethel Stratton (Bell) and his father David Allen.

Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday March 29, 2017 from 10:00am to 2:00pm at El Cajon Mortuary – 684 S. Mollison Ave. El Cajon, CA 92020.
Interment: Singing Hills Memorial Park – 2800 Dehesa Rd. El Cajon, CA 92019.
