

Leo Masikip was born on August 1, 1960, in Rizal Philippines, to his loving parents, Bernabe and Angelina Masikip. Leo was known as a giving, responsible brother and son. He then sacrificed his time to be with his family and children and embarking on a fulfilling career as a Heavy equipment operator in Tripoli, Libya. Later then, he had the opportunity to reunite with his family in the US. He dedicated his life to give better life for his family. His kindness, humor, friendliness, wittiness, caring and loving characteristic rippled throughout his life that is why he is well loved by his family, friends, coworker and peers.
A passionate advocate for healthy living, Leo developed a love for running. He particularly enjoyed jogging along the scenic paths near the iconic Hotel del Coronado, where the ocean views provided inspiration for many miles. Remarkably, even at the age of 58, he maintained his impressive stamina, often outrunning his children during family outings.
In addition to his passion for fitness, Leo was an enthusiastic cook who took great pleasure in preparing meals for his family. He had a special affinity for Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine, often experimenting with fresh ingredients and bold flavors, much to the delight of his loved ones.
Leo's interests extended beyond the kitchen; he also enjoyed archery and frequently visited shooting ranges. Friends and family admired his focus and determination in these activities, reflecting his organized and disciplined nature.
Known for his quirky personality, Leo had a unique gift for making others laugh. His "dad jokes," could light up any room, bringing joy to those around him.
On October 16, 2025, Leo Masikip passed away in San Diego, California. His sudden passing is deeply felt by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him, as he left an indelible mark on the hearts of many. Leo's legacy of kindness, laughter, and love for life will continue to inspire those who remember him.
