Patricia Garcia Glevy

passed away at home on December 18, 2016, conceding to Alzheimer’s. She was born to

Joseph J. Geary and Susan G. Skinner in Boston Massachusetts on March 3, 1937.

In 1947, Pat’s family moved to Oceanside, CA, where she attended Oceanside High School,

graduating in 1955. Pat enjoyed cheerleading, riding, showing her horse Molly Gal, and playing

beach volleyball. After attending Oceanside-Carlsbad Junior College for two years, Pat transferred to San Diego

State College in 1957. It was there; in dance class, that Pat met her sweetheart Donald L.

Garcia. They were married August 30, 1958. Patricia and Donald were married for 43 years,

raising 3 daughters & 6 sons, and having 18 grandchildren.

Her passions were painting, sewing, quilting - completing countless projects for

family and friends, each a true labor of love. Pat also enjoyed spending time with her family and

friends, illustrated by her celebrated St. Patrick’s Day Parties which she started in 1965.

After the passing of her husband Donald in 2001. Pat joined the Widow & Widowers club at, Our

Lady of Grace Catholic Church. It was there she met Daniel F. Glevy, they married in 2003.

Pat and Dan enjoyed traveling throughout their many years together until his sudden passing in

2011.

She is survived by her three daughters: Darla, Doryce, and Danylle; her six sons: Donald, David,

Dana, Darryl, Douglas, and Dathan; and her eighteen grandchildren.
