Patricia Ann Lamos

She is survived by her brother, Ralph Pooler (Mary Lou); her daughters, Terri Bakalar (Paul) and Michele Davidson (Ron); her grandchildren, Stephen Davidson (Erin), Christian Davidson (Leah), Kelsey Lafferty (Michael) and Cole Bakalar (Spencer); her 7 great-grandsons, Miles, Jace, August, Grady, Leo, Asher and Tano.

In the 1950s, Patti moved from Gloucester, MA to San Diego, CA with her family. After high school (where she performed as a majorette), she married and moved to Shawnee, KS where her daughters were raised. During her time in Kansas, Patti was a housewife and also worked as a part time cook at Toreador Mexican Restaurant (their tacos were amazing!). When her daughters entered elementary school, Patti worked as an aide at the school so she could remain close to her children. She was employed by State Farm Insurance Company as an administrative assistant from 1976 to 1985. In 1984 she transferred back to San Diego, CA to be close to her parents. Patti remarried and relocated to Elmira, NY for several years. She returned to the San Diego area in 2004, where she permanently resided.

Patti had a wonderful curiosity and zest for life, with many interests that brought her joy. She loved gardening with a true green thumb and took special delight in watching and caring for the hummingbirds that visited her yard. She was a self-taught pianist and also enjoyed playing the mandolin. She expressed her creativity through watercolor painting, sharing her extensive collection with family and friends. Earlier in life, Patti loved roller skating and square dancing and was always happiest when she was socializing and spending time with others. She enjoyed listening to opera and sacred music, particularly the voices of Mario Lanza and Andrea Bocelli. Patti loved a good card game, especially Cribbage, and was a competitive Domino player who was not afraid to play to win. She also enjoyed aerobics at the clubhouse and treasured the opportunity to visit with family and friends.

Her faith remained a guiding light. Her church family held a special place in her heart. Patti cherished her friendships, fellowship, Bible study and all the special moments shared celebrating God.

Patti valued her many friends at the Highland Park community, participating in an abundance of activities provided by the park. Many fun times and laughter were shared with all.

Patti’s greatest joy was her family. She treasured her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandsons and was proud of the family they had created together. Her love, laughter, strength, and independent spirit will remain a part of them forever.

Though she is no longer with us, Patti’s memory will live on in the many lives she touched. We find comfort knowing that she is now at peace, reunited with those who went before her and resting in God’s loving embrace.

Rest peacefully, Mom/Nani. You were deeply loved, and you will be missed more than words can say.

Visitation will be held at El Cajon Mortuary and Cremation Service, 684 South Mollison Ave., El Cajon, CA 92020, US, on August 28, 2026, from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm.

A Committal Service will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery & Mausoleum, 4470 Hilltop Dr, San Diego, CA 92102, US, on August 28, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
