The first time I met Perry was when he was my partner, working a Padre game. I had so much fun! He didn't believe in arguing with people. When somebody wanted to start an argument, he would say, "Yes sir/ma'am, I understand." If he got mad, his Texas accent really stood out!

Years later, I found out Perry lived nearby. He and Al met for Starbucks almost every day for coffee. They also went with each other to their VA appointments at times.

Perry was always there when I needed someone to talk to. He was a devoted husband to Gloria, a devoted father, grandfather, and a great friend! Every time I go to Smart & Final, I think of Perry at Starbucks across the parking lot.

It doesn't seem real that Perry is gone. I miss him much. Perry, may God rest your soul! Thanks for your service to our country, the citizens of San Diego, and your wonderful friendship!

Perry was the Sheriff of Downtown, a really aggressive good cop and great cover officer. Loved working with him. So long, brother.

I was a Police Officer at the San Diego Police Department while Perry Hooper was an Agent at Central Division. I remember him as being a typical Texan. He always greeted people with a smile. He was quick to extend his hand in friendship. And he was quick to call out BS when he saw it. He was good man and officer.

Perry was a awesome guy. Always upbeat with a smile on his face. I remember being a new officer and being around Perry, he was a great person to go too in order to get some perspective and cheering up. It was always fun running into him as our careers went on. Perry you will be Truely Missed.
