My Dear Phyllis, today marks the second year you have left for heaven. I frequently think of all the good times we had together. Oh, how I miss those times. Those  memories will always be a part of me. You were such a comfort and joy to me. My love for you can never be extinguished. Your loving husband Bob. 

  We were very sad to hear of Phyllis's passing.  Our prayers are with you Bob and all of the family.  I am glad I was able to stop in Alpine and visit the both of you, Phyllis as always was the gracious hostess. Peace be with you and know that she is looking down, watching over her family.

I first meet Aunt Phyllis when she would come to Jackson Center to help with holiday house at Wanda's house. She would always take the money, talk with all the customers, visit with old friends.  When Phyllis and Bob came home to see everyone in Ohio, they decided to stay and build  a home here.  I'm glad for the many years they spent here, I got to know them as family...Phyllis loved to entertain, we enjoyed many  parties and celebrations at their home.  I will always remember her kindness and her smile, she will always remain in my heart.

To Bob and all of Phyllis’ family, my deepest sympathies to all of you. She loved all of you so much.
Phyliss was such a dear friend and neighbor. I will always be so grateful to her and Bob for including me in their weekly Bible study. To this day, if I read or hear something about Dr. David Jeremiah, my very next thought is of Phyllis and how much she loved to hear him preach. I think she and Bob owned most of his Bible studies. I remember they loved going to the Celebrator’s Conference at Pigeon Forge every year when Dr. Jeremiah and Charles Billingsley (another favorite of hers) were there and that she convinced me to make the trip myself one year. Oh, how she would love it this year, with the addition of Mike Pence to the list of speakers!
Phyliss ordered some exercise videos, and for several months the two of us exercised a couple of times a week at her house, and afterward, we talked and drank coffee. We probably spent more time talking than we spent exercising, but we had a lot of ground to cover in those talks – faith, politics, health, flowers, food, but mostly, family. I know she treasured the time she lived in Sidney where she was close to her sister and nieces, but she was also excited to be moving back to California to be close to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 
About a year after Phyllis and Bob had taken a break from hosting a Bible study because they were traveling so much, I started a small group at my house and Phyllis and Bob were part of that group until Wednesday, August 1, 2018. 


My earliest memory of my Aunt Phyllis  was my mother telling me my Aunt Phyllis form California was coming home for a visit.  I remember the the get together at Grandma’s and Grandpa’s. I was very young but I remember her kindness towards myself and my siblings.  I also got to meet my cousins Shelly and Debbie for the first time. Of course food was involved and everyone enjoyed her visit.  There were other visits home and the move back to Ohio was an unexpected blessing. We got to hear childhood stories of growing up on a dairy farm with her two sisters my Aunt Wanda and my mother Lila.  Many laughs about the old days.  Her kindness, compassion and  piety is what I remember most about our lovely aunt.  I’m thankful that Uncle Bob and Aunt Phyllis had 11 years together.  What a wonderful Aunt and Uncle. 

I always thought Aunt Phyllis was such a beautiful lady.  We shared the same middle name and eyes of blue.  I remember visiting Aunt Phyllis in California one time with Mom and Dad.  We crossed the border into Mexico to sight see the city of Tijuana.  It was a celebration day where the students and children were throwing tomatoes at adults and teachers.  Mom, Aunt Phyllis and I were all wearing white pants.  We made it through the day without getting any tomato on our clothes. 

 Aunt Phyllis was always kind.  I loved celebrating the holidays at her home in Sidney.  The food and fellowship was always divine.  I appreciated Aunt Phyllis' strong faith in God and our country.  She was willing to share her thoughts and beliefs with others.  She was a patriotic American and very knowledgeable about medical topics.  She enjoyed spending time with family.  Jeff and I visited Aunt Phyllis and Uncle Bob in Coronado.  We share a meal at Miguel's Mexican Restaurant and enjoyed seafood at a restaurant by the water.  

I miss Aunt Phyllis.  I look forward to seeing her one day in heaven.  Love to Uncle Bob.  Sincerely. Jill

Phyllis coming home to Ohio made the family whole again!  Trips together, family dinners, pumpkin growing contests, all are memories we can carry with us till we meet again.

Aunt Phyllis was always up for an adventure.  When she came home to Ohio, we always went on a trip!  Branson Missouri, Gatlinburg, shopping trips to outfit the house, family gatherings... she was all about family!  And she introduced Bob to us... love you uncle!  She's watching over us, and we'll see her again on the other side!!

Aunty was a favorite of mine.  We played Scrabble and she hosted a neighborhood Bible study.  She brought me into a clearer 
understanding of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  I'm so glad she and Uncly Bob lived here with us long enough for us to be together as a family.  She is missed.  I'm happy that she is in heaven if she can't be here, and I know I'll see her again.  Love you, Aunty...Niecy

Bob and family, I was blessed knowing Phyllis for a short time. She was such a beautiful Godly woman. I cherish the day we shared bible study together and I was enlightened with her love and knowledge of God and the Bible.

My beloved wife Phyllis was everything I could hope for. She made my life complete. I  loved every moment we shared together. We had eleven loving years to be with each other and I wish there would have been more time with her. I will always cherish the time I had with Phyllis. She was an exceptional wife whose memory will remain with me forever. Loving you for all time. Your loving husband Bob.
