Born on June 7, 1933 in the small town of Tecalitlan, Jalisco, Mexico.
At the age of 7, Rigo was working in the fields and contributing to the family's daily labor to makes ends meet. He was forced to take on the responsibilities of an adult at this young age. Most children his age were attending school.
At the age of 19, Rigo journeyed to the United States to pursue the 'American Dream' along with his brother 'Chuy'. In the U.S. he was able to begin work in the restaurant business and started out as a busboy, to server and eventually a Prep Cook. He worked in several high end restaurants in the San Diego area.
Once Rigo established himself in the Barrio of Logan Heights in the greater San Diego City area, he was able to bring to America the love of his life Consuelo, purchased a home and began their American roots. Rigo fathered 8 children and raised 7 of them all in that home.
Rigo Hueso is survived by his beautiful wife, Consuelo Hueso and their children; Francisco Javier (deceased), Maria De Los Angeles, Martha, Alicia, Yolanda, Raul (deceased), Irma and Robert.
He will be greatly missed by his 21 grand children, 26 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. Also his siblings; Jesus (deceased) Juan, Consuelo and Jose.'
Tata' will forever hold a special place in ALL of our hearts. May he Rest in Peace.
