Shirley L. Bertolino passed away peacefully on April 5th, 2016. She was born on September 27, 1925 in Upland, CA. She graduated from Chaffey High School and attended Chaffey Jr. College and UCLA for 1 year. After living in other parts of the country she moved to San Diego in 1969 and worked at San Diego Trust and Savings Bank. In 1973 she worked at the County of San Diego and 14 years later she retired from the Department of Agriculture where she also served as an interpreter. She is survived by a son Michael Mayhew (Beverly), Oxford, Maryland and a daughter Karen Hewitt (Bill), Peyton, Colorado. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at El Cajon Mortuary in El Cajon, CA on April 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated.
