Thelma finished the race and kept the faith. On July 23, 2026, she heard the Lord say, “Well done, good and faithful servant,” and went home to her heavenly reward.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John, and her grandson, Travis.
She is survived by her five children: Barbara (Terry), Mary (Lance), Matthew, Margaret (Greg), and John (Sharon); her two grandchildren, Christopher and Rachel; and her three great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of St. Luke, 1980 Hillsdale Road, El Cajon, CA 92019.
In celebration of Thelma's life and the joy of her heavenly reward, the family invites those attending to wear green, her favorite color, or a favorite color of their own, rather than traditional black attire.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you celebrate Thelma's generous spirit by making a donation to the charity of your choice.
