To Tim's Family
I'm very sorry to hear about Tim's passing.  You all must be in shock.  I know I am.  I knew Tim in Bay Park Elementary School.  He and his brother were a grade behind me, but, we did not live too far away.  A few years after graduating from H. S. I started to work at Smith Brothers Inc. On Banks ST near OLD Town.  A few few years later, Tim  started to work at Ocean Instruments, the company next to Smith Brothers.  He later bought Ocean Instruments.  I visited with Tim almost every work day for probably 35 years.  We didn't hang out together, but we became good friends.  I. Moved to MONTANA about the same time Tim sold his Business and was looking forward to retirement.  He is gone too soon.  I pray that God will give you the comfort you need at this difficult time.

Tim marrs was an awesome horseshoe player and will miss playing with him and my dad you will be missed tim.  Amy please stay strong and know spirit never dies.  I will never forget tim for always being a nice nice man. wow

Tim was a wonderful friend and he was considered family by me, my siblings, and my folks. His company was always enjoyable on our comradely fishing trips, horseshoe competitions, soiree gatherings, and all the other social visits. Tim was a great mentor for many of us ever-learning anglers; he had such vast knowledge and experience that he willingly shared. I admired his quiet and humble demeanor. It seemed Tim was always a step ahead - it was his nature to help without being asked; he just did what needed to be done. He truly was a dear friend and he will be missed immensely. 

Tim was family to ours.  Always the brother, always the competitor, and always the friend. Whether it was fishing, giving wise advise, competing for horseshoe bragging rights or being there in time of need- Tim was THAT person. He will be sorely missed by all that knew him. Comfort is provided in knowing he is not far away from loved ones- his spirit will continue to bless his loved ones and we all will be better because of him. May Amy know how much her dad was loved and how grateful we are that he was part of our lives and feel honored to know him and to be called his friend.

I got invited to an Ocean Cove fishing trip by a friend and met Tim for the first time. We came in tired and hungry and Tim and crew had dinner waiting for us.
We then engaged in a friendly competition for the title of " King of Ling " not sure who won it that year, but we all had a great time. 
I fished in a few tournaments after that with Tim and crew, always a time of great fun and friendly competition. 
It will be hard to imagine any of these events in the future with out Tim being there, but if there is it will be in his memory. 
My deepest condolences and prayers to Amy and Family. May God's blessings be upon you in these difficult times.

Tim was a great guy! He was kind and compassionate, and I always enjoyed being in the presence of his company. He left us way too soon, and will be missed dearly. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Amy and Tim's family. 

Tim was was like an uncle to me. I'm truly grateful that I got to meet him and his daughter Amy in elementary school. I knew Tim for a good 20 - 25 years and his death was a big shock and the Tysick family will always be thankful for him and truly miss him.  He was such a great guy and I'm  so glad he could keep my dad company through everything that life could throw at them. My dad and Tim were like brothers they were so close.  I know in my heart that Tim is in a better place and he's happy.  I'll never forget him, that's for damn sure! Cheers Tim! Rest in Peace! We love you!

So sorry to hear this. Tim and I were best friends all through the 70s and 80s. We were on great softball teams in the SD city leagues. Many fun times with him, Randy and Carl on the Hack Barge. I'm sure he was a great dad. R.I.P. -  Steve Little.

Dear Family members of Tim Marrs,

My thoughts and prayers are with Tim and all of his family.  I still have a hard time accepting the news.  I didn't know him nearly as well as  my good friends Amos and Bonnie but I still considered him a friend.  I only knew Tim from fishing but he made me feel welcome the few times that I met him!  He was such a nice gentleman.  Keep me posted if there are any services.  I would like to pay my respects.

Sad news. I always enjoyed chatting with him
At the Fishing tournaments. Saw him in La Jolla a few times as well. Always had some great fish stories and a very salty/good fisherman. I bet  he’s already up in the big sky pulling on some big ones and looking down at us with a smile.  Going to dedicate my next fishing trip to him. 

Sometimes life doesn't seem fair, Tim was too young and taken too soon.  Our hearts break for you Amy.  Tim was like a brother to us.
He would show up at all our family events, fishing derby's or when I'd go over to see Amos, he'd be there.  He always had a happy smile 
and was always nice too everyone he came in contact with.  He always had the right bait or right location fishing and I enjoyed hearing
about his fishing trips or following him on line while he was on one.   Our deepest sympathy for your/ our loss  - a great dad, brother, and 
friend.

Condolences to Amy and family. I had a lot of good memories with Tim. He was a great fisherman and outdoorsman in General. He will be missed by many!

I’ve known Tim since I was about 12 years old when he took me out on his boat for my first deep sea fishing trip. I always enjoyed seeing him at get togethers and fishing derby’s and he always seemed to have a secret spot that caught bigger fish than everyone else. He was a smart business man, a kind person, a good friend, and will be greatly missed by all.

I've known Tim for 25 years. We met after our move was made to Crest. Like brothers we shared everything from food to drink to too many laughs to count. We competed against each other in everything from fishing to horseshoes, from surviving fires to investing, from cameras to trucks and everything in between. He was truly the best friend anyone could have and I'm proud to say he was mine. I'll miss him greatly.
