
William Burton Mullins was born in Oklahoma City on December 17, 1935 and peacefully passed away in the early hours of August 12, 2016.
He spent most of his childhood in Ogdensburg, NY. At 17 years old, he joined the United States Air Force where he remained for twenty years, having also served in the War of Vietnam. He received a Bachelor of Science at SDSU in Safety Management, and pursued a long career with the United States Postal Service, until retiring in 1997.
He leaves behind two very loyal daughters, Patricia Williams and Kathleen Anderson, four grandchildren, Amanda Lehman, Grant Williams, Whitney Carpenter, and Sara Lange, his sister Wilma Thornton of Houston, TX, five great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. He is now reunited with Brigitte Zwetsch Mullins, his wife of 42 years as well as his parents, Thomas Perry Mullins, and Alice Juanita Rutschman.
Bill was a hardworking, devoted husband & caring father, often working two jobs throughout his life to make sure his family was well taken care of. He’s most remembered for his endless sense of humor, love for family, his generosity, and a persistent appetite for learning new things.
