Alice Watson

Alice L. Watson, 86 of Smackover passed away Friday, June 24, 2011 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House. She was born on September 13, 1924, in Atwood, AL, the daughter of Isaac Renfroe and Mittie Johnson Renfroe. She was a former employee of Koehler’s Bakery and a member of Lisbon United Methodist Church dedicating her life to her family. .

Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Robert C. Watson; three brothers and one sister.

She is survived by three sons, Jim Watson (Karen) of Mt. Ida, AR, Allen Watson (Pam) of Redfield, AR and Gary Watson (Margaret) of Smackover; four daughters, Shirley Greer (P.J.), Cathy Sneed (Charles), Pam Faulkner (Mike), Katie Faulkner (Maurice) all of Smackover; two brothers, Larry Renfroe of Cash, AR and Nello Renfroe of Murray, KY; one sister, Jane Shadell of Mayflower, AR; 36 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.

Services will be Monday, June 27, at 2:00 p.m. at Young’s Chapel with Brother Gary Riley officiating. Burial will follow at Lisbon Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 26 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Young’s.
