Alvin Mark Maples, 78, of El Dorado, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at Oak Ridge Health and Rehabilitation. He was born on March 11, 1948 to the late Q.Y. and Edith Main Maples in El Dorado, AR.
Before his retirement, he worked as a plumber for Hillsboro Townhouse Apartments, and he was a member of the El Dorado First Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Maples of El Dorado; brother, Roy Maples of Dallas, TX; nephew, Stephen Maples of Harrisburg, PA; and several cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 2, 2026 at Three Creeks Cemetery, with Rev. Greg Tucker officiating, under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the cemetery.
