Andrew Jackson Henderson, 38, of North Little Rock, left the world with less music and a lot less laughter on May 18, 2026. Drew’s family and friends meant everything to him, and there had to be ballgames, music, friends, and unlimited trivia wherever he was.
Drew enjoyed growing up in Smackover and enjoyed youth activities at First United Methodist Church. An avid Boy Scout in his younger days, Drew loved those many campouts, and he worked and attained the rank of Eagle Scout. He loved Buckaroo football years, and though he was usually the last one in on sprints, he never gave up on the game or his job as center.
Drew graduated from high school in 2006 from the Arkansas School of Math and Science and headed to the University of Illinois at Chicago. He lived several years there and worked at Diversey Riverside Bowl until his dad developed cancer, so Drew surprised everyone in 2018 by showing up in the backyard during a birthday party. He stayed until his dad passed and livened up Pine Circle with love, music, and laughter for months. He moved to Little Rock after that and worked at Arkansas Flag and Banner until this week.
The sound of his laughter will be sorely missed by his friends and family, and as one friend said today, “the funniest guy I ever knew.”
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Daniel Henderson, and his brother, Seth James Parrish. He is survived by his mother, Jan, sister, Ashli, and brother, Tucker, and many dear friends, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 23, 2026 at First United Methodist Church in Smackover with memorial services to follow at 12:00 p.m. Cremation services entrusted to Young's Funereal Directors.
