Bill Donahue, 84, of El Dorado, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. He was born July 14, 1935 to William Hubert and Katie D. Whatley Donahue in El Dorado, AR.

He retired from Spencer Iron Works, where he worked as a machinist foreman. Billy was a member of the Caledonia Baptist Church, where he was the music director, and he was also a member of the Gideon's International.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Maifred Donahue; sons, Robert Donahue (Denise), Ricky Donahue (Linda) all of El Dorado; grandchildren, Haley Ryan (David) of Houston, TX, Matthew Donahue (Kaili) of Tulsa, OK, Wes Donahue (Alanna) of El Dorado, Marissa Cannon (Walker) of El Dorado; great grandchildren, Kailey Donahue, Aubrey Dorrel, Sadie Donahue, Ellie Donahue, Graham Newton, Aubrianna Murry, Noah Cannon, and Baby Donahue on the way; brother, Louis Donahue (Jean Ann); sisters, Bonnie Gardner (Don), Judi Ainsworth (Charles); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 21, 2019 at Caledonia Baptist Church with Bro. Charles Ainsworth and Bro. Tommy Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at Caledonia Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Memorials may be made to the Caledonia Baptist Church or to the Gideon's International.

What a beautiful tribute to a beautiful Man of God, I can’t wait to meet in Heaven!!! My prayers are with you Robert and Denise ! Please know how sorry I am that we haven’t kept in touch better! Matt, please let me know how you and your wife are!!! I love you all and am in tears looking at the video filled with love, family and memories!!! Those candles may have lost their light but Robert, your daddy’s still lives on in all of you!!! You have a beautiful family!!! Hugs and prayers!! Deb
