Billy C Morgan

Billy was owner/operator of Barnes Sign Service until his retirement in 2010. He greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing, most especially each spring turkey hunting in the Ouachita Mountains. He was a member of Parkers Chapel United Methodist Church.

Preceding him in death along with his parents are his loving wife of 51 years, Linda Lee Morgan; his sisters, Vedera Peavey, Verda Mae Long, Era Miller, Elsie Orr and Mattie Leen Brown and a grandson, Preston Murray.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory a son, Steve Morgan (DeLora), daughter Lisa Murray (Don) and son Mark Morgan (Holly); nine grandchildren, Haley Gardner (Cole), Christi Smith (JB), Blake and Brooke Murray, Chris, Brian and Brennan Morgan and Katherine & Jacob Handloser. He is also survived by a sister, Florene Stevenson of Bastrop, Louisiana and several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Hudson Memorial Nursing Home and LifeTouch Hospice for their care. Also, a special thank you to his devoted and loving caregiver, Nahi Murphy.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 19 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Young’s Funeral Directors. Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 20 at 11:00 am at the Old Parkers Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Tracy Roden officiating.

Memorials may be made to LifeTouch Hospice, 2301 Champagnolle Road or Parkers Chapel United Methodist Church, 3134 Haynesville Highway.
