

Born October 4, 1933 in Kilgore, Texas she was the daughter of Ed and Ella Marie Smith Luschen. Carole began her career as a soda jerk at Rexall Pharmacy at the age of 15. After high school she worked in the Lion Oil building for Colonel Tom Barton. She later taught kindergarten at Parkview Baptist Church for ten years and developed a special love for all her children. Carole had also been employed at the Medical Center of South Arkansas for ten years.
Preceding her in death along with her parents, was the father of her children Pat Bridges, a sister, Jeanne Hinton and twin brother, Ronnie Luschen.
Carole is survived by her sons, David Bridges (Jane) and Sam Bridges (Connie) along with grandchildren, Brittney Vick (Michael), Tim Bridges, Alexis Ellen (Tim) and Jordan Cole (Tanner). Surviving great-grandchildren are Tanner Bridges, Scarlett Ellen, Payton Vick and Marley Ellen. Carole’s surviving sisters are Marlene Beasley of El Dorado, Mary Gourley of League City, Texas and Melinda Kay Yates of West Monroe, LA, a very special friend, Jo Ann Weido.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Young’s. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday February 17, 2023 at Bible Baptist Church with Dr. J. D. Weido officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
