She was born on February 25, 1945 in Waldo AR to Floyd David and Dora Mae Adams Fuller. She was married to Johnnie Ray Hay, the love of her life for 60 wonderful years. Together they built a family filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories, especially at Christmas time around the tall Christmas tree in their home.
Carolyn had a deep and abiding love for her family, and she especially adored her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy. Her home was always filled with warmth, kindness, peace, and love. Her passion for ancestry connected her to the past, allowing her to keep the stories of her family alive for future generations. As those who were close to her knew she loved her stories!
A long-time member of West Side Baptist Church, Carolyn found great comfort and fulfillment in her faith. She loved worshipping her Lord and Savior, and her days were often filled with uplifting sounds of gospel music, which brought her closer to the heart of God.
Carolyn leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and devotion. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she has left this earthly home, her spirit and love will continue to guide and inspire those who were blessed to be part of her life.
Preceding her in death are her parents; brothers, Tommy Rookard Sr, Johnny Fuller, Bennie Fuller; sister, Betty Haller; and grandson, Christopher Hay.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 60 years, Johnnie Ray Hay, Sr. of El Dorado; son,
John Ray Hay, Jr. (Marlene) of Fulshear, TX, daughter, Angela Christine Simmons (Alan) of El Dorado; grandchildren, Alexis Ann Hallman (Andrew) of Conway, AR, Adam Price Simmons (Hannah Wilson) of El Dorado, John Collin Hay of Fayetteville, AR, Anna Claire Hay of Fayetteville, AR; a host of nieces and nephews; and many special lady friends from West Side Baptist Church.
