Carolyn Hodge

She was born March 25, 1942 in Felsenthal, AR and was the daughter of Claborn and Erma Gilmore.

She worked as a saleslady then spent many years in as a cosmetology instructor and retired from Monticello Beauty School. She enjoyed her retirement years at Lake D’arbonne in Farmerville, LA.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and in-laws, Jewell and Myrtie B. Hodge.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Don Hodge; one sister, Julia Burgess (William) of El Dorado; sister-in-law, Clara Green (Wess) of Sterlington, LA; brother-in-law, Clyde Hodge (Mary) of Monroe, LA; one nephew, Randy Burgess (Beverly) and niece, Jerri Greer (Greg).

Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Young’s Funeral Directors.

Funeral services will be Monday, September 12, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Young’s Chapel in El Dorado with Bro. Steve Pelz officiating. Interment will be at Union Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
