Charles Edward Owens

He was born on March 13, 1949 to Hugh Chester and Mary Lee Vaughn Owens in Lake Village, AR.

Charles fondly known as Charlie to his trucker friends, was a owner operator truck driver for 46 years. He also was a mechanic that could fix anything wrong with a vehicle. He absolutely loved spending time with his family and teaching/sharing his knowledge to all of his loved ones. His passion was fishing, camping, cooking, gardening, and keeping the lawn in pristine condition. He was of the Baptist Faith.

Preceding him in death are his parents and daughter, Christy Owens.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie McHan Owens; children, Stephanie Knight, Kevin Owens; grandchildren, Joe Knight, Kayla Harrington (Shane), Charles Owens, Jr., Josh Owens, Alexis Gulledge (Kurt), Nikolle Knight, Brayden Owens; great grandchildren, Kailah Knight, Layton Hightower, Sleyter Harrington, Copeland Hightower; siblings, Shirley Clark, Lamar Owens (Debbie), Sally Johnson, Billy Owens, Patricia Priest; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Friday, January 17, 2025 at Young's Chapel.

Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Shane Harrington and Pastor Sandy Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Wyatt-Parnell Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
