Charles Richard Watkins

Charles was born May 5, 1933 in Huttig, AR to John Letcher and Katie Cleo Hendrix Watkins. He retired after 33 years from Lion Oil as a warehouse supervisor. Charles served in the United States Air Force, he was a member of the El Dorado Masonic Lodge 13 since 1956, and he was a member of West Side Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death are his parents and his wife of 49 years, Nora Lee Leamons Watkins.

Survivors include his daughter, Patricia Herring (Johnny) of Strong, AR his grandchildren, Katie Meade (Cage) of Urbana, Krystal McCarty (Dylan) of Shreveport, LA; his great grandchildren, Cooper Meade, Paige Meade, and a great granddaughter, Nora Kate McCarty due in May.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 8, 2021 in Young’s Chapel with Rev. Gerald Perry and David Allen officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial with military honors will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
