Charlie Thomas Watson

Charlie Watson 67, of Mt. Holly, AR, passed away Sunday April 17, 2011 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. He was born on September 6, 1943 to Monroe and Eva Watson. Charlie was a self employed logging contractor, farmer and member of Silver Hill United Methodist Church.

Charlie is preceded by his father, Monroe Watson, his son Tim Watson and a sister, Betty Joe Davis.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Barbara Watson of Mt Holly, AR, his mother Eva Coma Lewis Watson; daughter, Tina Stringer and her husband Jack also of Mt Holly, AR; four grandchildren, Cody Stringer, Drew Stringer, Clay Stringer, and Jessi Watson; sister, Nancy Wilkie and her husband Mike of Pine Bluff, AR, brother-in-law, Daymon Davis of Mt Holly, AR; and sister –in-law, Brenda Vaughan and her husband Larry of Camden, AR; two uncles, Colon Watson and his wife Gloria and Harold Lewis and his wife Marjorie Nell both of Mt. Holly, AR; two nephews, Rick Warren and his wife Janet of Mt. Holly Arkansas and William Upchurch and his wife Courtney of Shreveport, LA; three nieces Nanette Darden and her husband Robert of Lisbon, AR, Stacey Halton and her husband Ronnie of Mt Holly, AR, and Glenda Darden and her husband John of Lisbon, AR.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at Young’s.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Silver Hill United Methodist Church with Bro. Leon Dixon and Bro. Jimmy Burks officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Hill Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
