Connie Basinger Weddle

Born August 30, 1955 in El Dorado, AR, she was the daughter of George "Gene" Basinger and Margaret Morris Basinger. Connie graduated from El Dorado High School in 1974 and went on to study at Henderson State University. She worked as an accountant at various businesses over the years.

Connie was a follower of Christ who loved nothing more than spending time with her family and friends. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother and "Gran" to her grandchildren. She had many pets over the years, including exotic birds, horses, cats, and many dogs. She enjoyed listening to country music and horseback riding.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Dr. Dean Weddle; three sons, Chad (Addie) Smith, Colby (Jessa) Saulsbury, and Casey Saulsbury; stepdaughters, Hannah and Tammy Weddle, her granddaughter, Jenica Saulsbury who she loved like a daughter. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren; two brothers, Gary Basinger and Butch Basinger and a sister, Terrie Burton.

A gathering of friends and family will be held Friday, December 16, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Young's Funeral Directors.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials may be made to UCAPS, P. O. Box 204, El Dorado, AR 71730 to celebrate Connie's lifelong love of animals.
