

Daisy Lee Jeffcoats, 93, of El Dorado, passed away, Thursday, October 12, 2017, at Courtyard Health and Rehab in El Dorado. She was born May 10, 1924, to John and Cammie Campbell Anderson in Pine Prairie, LA.
She worked in Winslow Shipyard as a welder on minesweepers during the war. She was a 4H leader for 30 plus years, a home extension economist, together with her husband, they founded Woodlawn Heights Chapel, and were members of Marrable Hill Chapel, where she was an Awana leader for more than 20 years.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Clyde Jeffcoats; three sisters, Johnnie Harmon, Leola Kelley, Elsie Jeffcoats; two brothers, Carl Anderson, Guy Anderson; and great grandchild, Collin Maddox.
Those left to cherish her memory are her three children, Kathy Brewies (Wayne) of El Dorado, Hank Jeffcoats (Marci) of Longview, TX, Diane Cates (Jimmy) of Loganville, GA; seven grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 15, 2017, at Marrable Hill Chapel with Rev. Ben Wasson officiating. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
