Danny was born on December 4, 1953 in El Dorado where he lived all of his life. He was co-owner of several family businesses, Radio Service Company, RSC Home Center, Electronic Alarm Company, Best Value Rental and Easy Auto. He was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church. A proud member of the NRA, Danny had achieved Golden Eagles membership with that organization. He was preceded in death by his mother Joanna Slankard Smith.
Survivors are his wife of 36 years Sherian Powers Smith; his father David B. Smith; brothers David Smith Jr. (Reha) and Kenny Smith (Gayle); a daughter Courtney Mills (Tracy); a son David Hagins (Tara); grandchildren Shelby Mills, Brendan Hagins and Kyrstin Hagins, along with his beloved dogs Jack and Lizzie. Danny is also survived by a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and so many special friends. He was so proud of his family and loved spending time with all of them.
The family will receive friends at the Mills residence, 2308 W. Oak, in El Dorado, and on Wednesday from 6 pm to 8 pm at Young's Funeral Directors.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm, Thursday, June 13, 2019 in the Chapel of Young's Funeral Directors with Rev. Allen Grimmett officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Terry Ross, Jim Stanley, Kris Smith, Dwayne Crew, Doug Willis, Billy Williams, Jake Smith and Sterling Powers.
