Danny Gerald Vinson

He was born September 14, 1941 in Marysville, AR to Guy and Margie Nell Giles Vinson. Dan worked as an oil field sales representative and was a member of the Marysville United Methodist Church.

Preceding him in death are his parents and a brother, Travis Jackson Vinson.

Survivors include sons, Danny G. Vinson II of El Dorado and Kevin Stewart of Arcadia, LA; daughters, Donita G. Vinson (Steve Hickey) of Athens, LA, Sharon Gardner (DeWayne) of El Dorado and Amanda Stewart of Kenner, LA; a sister, Rosemary Lewis (Ron) of Lewisville, AR; grandchildren, James T. McCrary (Colleen) of Calhoun, LA, Amanda McCrary of Downsville, LA, Bethany Vinson of Athens, LA, Summer Gardner of El Dorado, AR and Maci Gardner of El Dorado, AR; great-grandchildren, John Daniel Barmore, Raylee Ann Barmore, David James McCrary, Jameson Stewart and two great-grandchildren on the way and he is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and life-long best friends, Billy Glass and E. William Skains.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 13, 2013 at Marysville United Methodist Church with Rev. Pat Daugherty officiating. Burial will follow at Marysville Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
