David Lester Wilson, age 80, of Mount Holly, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at The Green Cottages of Wentworth in Magnolia, AR. Born on October 8, 1942 in El Dorado, AR, David was the son of Lester Roy and Laura Byrd Wilson.
He served in the United States Air Force and was stationed briefly in France. David retired from Baker Hughes and was a member of the Mount Holly Community Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was a Civil War Reenactor. David was a cast member in the Tucker Parnell Shoot out at the Union County Courthouse and was an extra in the cast of the movie Gettysburg.
David was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Roy Edward Wilson; and a sister, Charlotte Watson.
Survivors are his wife of 25 years, Deborah Hicks Wilson; sons, David Bryan Wilson of Diboll, TX and Roger Wilson (Amy) of Smackover; five grandchildren, Whitney Nicole Camp, Ashley Michelle Wilson, Andrew Hunter Wilson (Quimby), William Christopher "Zane" Wilson, Ramsey Ellen Wilson, and 4 great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to LifeTouch Hospice, Ashley Smith, Steve Walker, and Penne Galbraith for caring for David.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 2022 at Young's.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, in Young's Chapel with Rev. Chuck Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
